No. I can't say I have ever heard of this problem. It could be that when it does the check, it makes sure an inspection lot can be created but then discards this temporary object upon returning to the screens. It wouldn't surprise me in that regard since if an batch number is not yet assigned, in some systems that use internal batch number assignment, when using the check button the internal batch number is assigned. I can see the routines doing the same things with the inspection lot number but it discards it after checking it.
Now my question is, is this just a technical curiosity question? Or is this being raised as a real issue by a client or user. If it is being raised as a real issue I'd have to ask why is it an issue? It's not a pharma or FDA requirement.
