I am functional consultant and I would like to implement the configurable material solution for my client.
I have many questions (please see below): could you please share with your experience?
1/ I need to have a single material number to clearly identify each product variant (for example : in the warehouse if 2 configurable material have been produced at the same time how to identify them? Indeed, 1 product is "blue" the other one is "red") --> How should I do this?
2/ I need to have an automatic determination of the values of the characteristics inside the customer sales order based on the ship to party partner function and the configurable material --> How should I do this?
3/ I need to have an automatic determination of the final selling price based the material number (link with question 1/) and customer (VK11) ? The point is that if this is a "generic" material the selling price will not be accurate (price is based on many characteristics...)
I heard about the instantiating process but it is not clear to me...When the instantiating process is done? At material creation through MM01? Could it be done at sales order creation (VA01)?
