Is there the involment of EDI seperator required as we use in Inbound scenerio?
No.here EDISeperator is not required.
Whether the convertion of IDOC-XML to EDI is straight forward process using the AS2or OFTP or X.400 adapter?
in receiver channel (ie your case AS2 channel) you need to configure X12Convertormaodule (this module convert EDI XML as EDI format) as mentioned below.
note: for outbound scenario EDISeperator adapter is not required, EDISeperator adapter is only used for inbound processing.
