I am confused ... SNC is a native client SS driver vs ODBC which is middle-ware. They are not the same. Which one are you using? Looks like your IDE is set to SNC in the DB Profile.
Note1: you must install the SS client software on your PC.
Note2: You may need to configure SS to accept Pipes and/or TCP/IP traffic.
BTW: is this a real SS server your trying to communicate to on your network or a local Express version?
